Bulk Appliance Payments
Households often have inconsistent income and when they earn a bunch of cash, they often prefer to pay off their leases into the future, and have the peace of mind to not worry about those payments for the following days/weeks/months. We initially supported this behaviour internally in a backend, manual way, but the demand for this use case continued to grow which ultimately motivated building this entire feature. The feature enables the “bulk lease payments” to be done directly in the field app and all the backend billing logic was designed to continue automatic billing when households fall behind on payments but skip their payments when they’re ahead. This meets the needs of the households, helps the energy developers scale and keep their leases on track, and automates a number of manual tasks off of our internal support teams.
Stability Improvements
Bug fixes / improvements in this release included:
- New UI for main household detail page
- Clean up small label/text inconsistencies
- Removed dynamic pages for improved caching and offline performance
